    Weight Of A Tree

The percentage of water in trees also varies. A tree can be more than one-half water. The wait of the tree when it was alive is called the green weight. The weight of the tree after it has been cut down is called the dry weight. If you want to find the weight of the water in a tree, just subtract the dry weight from the green weight

It will vary according to species. Ebony for example is a very dense, hard wood and will have comparatively little water, while the pine or balsa will have much more water because it is a much less dense wood.

It will also depend on the season in some parts of the world. In winter in the temperate zones the tree goes into dormancy and the amount of water in the tree is reduced. In spring the tree starts to take up huge quantities of water to grow leaves, flowers and fruit.

youthful trees have a severe share water, like 70 while commencing off. A mature tree might have very much less water, and a mature tree for the duration of drought would be dry adequate to burn.
