I won't ask why, when you have XP, you want to go back to Win98.

You will have to format your computer otherwise you can't install Win98

You place the cd of win98 in cd-rom start up pc (from cd-rom) and not hard disk. You can change that in you BIOS. Press delete repeatedly to get to your bios during reboot.

When you will asked to format, format NTSF when possible.

Then follow installation procedure. I presume, that you know what you are doing and have done it before.

    Hi !

In ur casee u've already installd the Xp & now u try to intsall the window98, so first uninstall the XP then Install the window 98 nd then reinstall the XP.

Note: - Older version must install first nd then newer version.

with windows you always have to install the older version first so to do it would require deleting XP and installing after you install 98
