Why is vision faster than the speed of light ?

If the planet Neptune is 5 billion kilometers away and at the speed of light will take 5 hours to reach, suddenly explodes you can see it immediately so is it reasonable to say vision is faster ?

sorry, capt. totally disagree. speed of light limits any perception of an event until the light travels the required distance. i'm pretty much sold on that whole concept. you would not see an explosion on Neptune until the light traveled from Neptune to your point of observation.

you would not see it right away, there would be no way to detect the event from earth in less than 5 hours.

if you do see such an event, you will know that it happened five hours ago.

how would you know that it didnt explode 5 hours ago? i would say that vision can only be as fast as light if that, since you see things because of light reflecting off of them
