Why US American people are so stupid and ignorant????

I totally agree with you, the problem with this country is arrogance.

Sadly the majority of U.S. people just repeat like parrots everything that the media, religion and governement tells them and they can't see beyond that.

Some Americans believe that the US is a country for only those people, who were born here. Although in reality, being American has nothing to do with that. It's a state of mind that any person can be in as it is a free choice. Even though Americans have free choice, the stupidity lies in the fact that they try to hibituate themselves to a lot of cruelty, abuse and unnecessary pressure and restrictions by trying to enforce the laws and rules that can easily harm people. This type of Americans do not realize that they can become victims of this themselves, or they simply are so masochistic and sociopathic that they want this to be done to them. America does not belong to anyone!!! It's everybody's country and anybody can contribute to it, let it be constructive criticism or new original ideas. Do not listen to anyone, who tries to convince you otherwise. And remember that you're not an enemy of the US if you do so!!! There is no such things really!

We will find ignorance in all the face of the globe, it is a major problem that affect humanity, but most of all in third world countries. The most amazing things is that the first power nation of the world (USA) is been affected by the weakness of its own ambition and laziness. Do not confuse my words; there are so many intelligent people in North-America, which can lead this country to their own benefit. (Be aware, America is a whole continent that include central and South America, it is not a name for United States)

So why we have so many dumb people in our country? Well, like in any other country of the world, Vanity, entertainment, mass media consumption, confusion between freedom and libertinage, the need of a good family structure, a big stupid pride, believe in what others people said, lack of interesting in doing research, and study or learn for their own sake. E.G. “watching American Idol, following up Justin Bibber or any entertainment start, checking all the time Facebook, believing in reality shows, confusing pride in their sex preference. ”

I have 5 degree (including an M.B.A.) , and I am still taking free online classes to increase my general knowledge, using the MOOC (search in Google Udacity)).

The one big problem in your statement is that is not only in USA, that statement makes you an idiot as well. The big problem with USA is the same big problem all nation of the world are facing, the lack of knowledge, the lack of interest in continuing an education, the laziness of modern time, the need to create a false social life, and all of that connected with a brainless sense of pride.

I am an American and I will tell you this. I joined the military at 18 years old. I could not wait to leave PA. When I was close to retirement, I wanted to go back to my home town because I missed the people, the loyalty, the family oriented way of life. Once I returned home, I tried to fit in. Needless to say, it did not go well. The people are jealous, lie, and talk the most crap (for someone who is afraid to venture outside of the box). They sit is their own little world and make fun of everybody else. They down grade people for trying to excel and make a better life. They do nothing with their own lives and yet they sit at the bar and drink their money away. It's like being in Salem with the witches................as soon as they think you are different, they want to burn you at the stake. Their lives suck so they try to draw attention to you by making fun of you. They talk behind every bodies back to deflect attention to themselves........little do they know that it does not work. Because everybody is talking about them also. Don't take this the wrong way but, not all people are the same. There are educated people there. They tend to stay away from the bars and keep good friends.

Honestly i've been to other parts of the world and met those people. I've seen some pretty close minded, ignorant, uneducated people. With that being said, I agree with you completely. Most of the American public are ignorant morons who believe anything they hear and fear anything they don't understand. If you don't believe me watch any news relating to politics and the comments people leave behind. It's embarrassing. That is why it is up to us to change what we see. I feel sad when I think I am smarter than my entire government which is why I hope 20 to 30 years from now something will change.

I travel to Italy regularly ... as in once every other year ... and there are very ignorant people in the villages where my ancestors lived. Most vote communist during elections ... without even understanding what any of the political parties stand for. They think America is one state. Have no idea how large we are. Have no idea we are 50 states. Etc. etc. So ignorance is widespread and universal and not only a phenomenon of the United States. Having said that ... we do have a non-consistent education system with very poor performing schools in the ghetto areas. And it is costly to get a college education. I had to work full time during a night shift to pay for my college and my son who is an engineer did so by getting better grades and scholarships. But otherwise college is very costly and unless you have a family supporting you spiritually, philosophically and financially it is difficult.

Because the system is broken and people would rather feed onto what is destroying them while claiming that it is best for us. The education system gives so much indoctrination if not having people learn anything at all. Our world revolves around what is around within our environment than to look at the bigger picture and think for ourselves rather than to go by what popular beliefs are (liberalism, whether people like it or not, is the culprit and the biggest sellout a person ever has to embrace that they have to remain blind in order to stay comfortable in such ignorance). We elect politicians while never learning from our mistakes and not speak out if we find corruption that rips off the American people, especially for those who work and pay their taxes. Nobody has a backbone and would rather embrace the American destruction made within our culture than to try to contribute and fix it. Sh!t, there's people who even want our Amendments readjusted or taken away, so I think that says enough about us.

You should avoid stereotypes, yes some are stupid but there are stupid people everywhere. Do you think that the people who created Yahoo, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook etc. etc. are stupid?

Next time you wake up, switch on the lights, turn on the TV, log onto a computer, write an email just think about it... where did all that come from? Now who's stupid?

Yes there are ignorant people in America but don't brand them all as stupid..

I'm American & after returning after a 30 year period away, I find that most Americans aren't so worldly, can't speak a 2nd language, even though those expats who live outside N America can speak 2-3 foreign languages. Most don't understand Psychology, plant medicines, latin, homeopathy, can't drive a car well, and are generally apathetic, govt. trusting, think a two-party system is different instead of a two headed monster, and only understand reality shows, hip-hop and other such rubbish.
