How come the media doesn't want to cover the Charles Rangel (Congressman) story? ?
Why is the media so obvious as to their favoritism towards Democrats
Where is the outrage from Obama about Charles Rangel tax evasion schemes.
Jupiter. He has a lot of power in Congress, probably more than Nancy Pelosi. He is the chairman of the ways and means committee.
Steve, my argument is not whether members of both parties are corrupt. My question is in regards to the bias media coverage. Yes it is on CNN site, but it has not been in their broadcast or much less NBC, CBS, or ABC. This is the man responsible for chairing the committee that gives us our tax code, yet he is evading that same code.

I am not sure that this may not be a rhetorical question.
Corruption by high-ranking elected officials of both parties is to be deplored. Lord knows the Republicans in particular in the last four years have seen several of their members embroiled in shady dealings. However, the Democrats are no strangers to corruption themselves, also in their ranks these things happen. Personally, I have usually seen these things not so much as appanage of any particular party politics, but rather as personal failings.
Charles Rangel should be raked over the coals, as should any crooked politician of either party. However, in this particular political climate so close to the elections, the markedly left-leaning network media obviously have every interest to minimize and suppress anything like this that can be used against their chosen candidate, Sen. Obama, if only by association of Party.

Charlie Rangel is a black Democrat from Harlem.
William Jefferson, the black Democratic Congressman from New Orleans, was caught with $90,000 of bribe money for African businessmen and politicians in a Tupperware container in his home freezer. He and several of his relatives were indicted.
The Democratic removed him from a Committee but did nothing further.
He was re-elected in 2006.
He is running for re-election and will win again.
The media isn't talking about this either.
Did you hear that black Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick of Detroit, an Obama supporter, has copped a plea to Federal charges, resigned his office, and will be going to jail???
Nope, the media buried that story. Was it on the national news????
Should I list the Republicans mentioned constantly???
Oh, never mind.

It's gotten coverage in New York, but not nationally. It's rare that there is coverage of a congressperson outside of the state they represent.
