inflamation of throat or sore throat or congestion of throat means same.sore throat one feels scratchy/ itchy sensation and .pain throat , pins and needles feeling with swallowing , excess of feeling of salivation hacking irritable cough pain radiating to ears and sometimes bodyache n feverish feeling.

How old are you? A sore throat makes your throat dry and scratchy. It also burns a little bit though. Take some Ricola and it soothes the pain.
