what laptop should I buy for school (digital media)?

I found a toshiba with 2 gb ram and 200 gb hard drive will that be good enough? if not what would you reccomend? I have to stay under $800.00

    If you have to stay under $800 the only concern is that either the system run Windows xp now or that you buy it for it (unless you are willing to install Ubuntu which will violate your warranty). 2gb RAM and a 200GB HD is more than I have on my systems, but Vista's requirements are HUGE (my friends say 5gb ram is enough to run it -- I use Linux).

    If it's running XP it should be sufficient.
