How to Format HDD Completely ?
My Seagate Hdd has generated Bad Sectors and I want to avail replacement under warranty. So I want to completely format the HDD so that no one should get the data through Recovery Software.

you can use any Low level format tools to format the hard disk .
www.killdisk.com go to the site and download the software its a ISO image . write to a CD . After witting the same boot from the CD and follow the instructions .
Its very easy .

You will probably need to get a software utility from Seagate to do it, as IDE/SATA drives are not intended to be low level formatted.
OR -- take a sledgehammer to the drive and physically destroy the disks.

Use the ( free ) program DBAN
It can erase your harddisk with DoD ( U.S. Department of Defence ) standards.
It can install on a CD/Floppy/USB flash drive.
