Dancing with your homecoming date?

hi!

this is my first year going with a date to the homecoming dance. I am going with my really good guy friend-no we are notttt dating. But to ask my question,

Is it wrong to dance with other guys than my date?

I just really dont want to have to dance with him the whole time and i know that a bunch of other couples that are going together as friends who are going to dance with other people too. Its just that my date wants us both to only dance with each other, so if you agree with me, how can i nicely tell him that we should dance with other people too? Because i dont want to be mean or rude or hurtful or anything either. Ya know?
