a Gogol-ian array of dead souls,
this link compares.
hard to tell the indolent old bachelor
from the languid love-sick maid;
the pale banquo's ghost
from the wavering hamlet.
hard to differentiate
the jealous spaniard
from the impetuous poet
all dangling the satan's damocle's sword
with the modesty of doves, merriment of larks,
liberal magnanimous thumb-ing,
blessed be, the hideous witch of Endor
relentless, persistent & punctual.
mirror mirror on weblink, who shall, saint-like,
sing this song for my characteristic eternal delight!!
EDIT: Seems Gogol's 'Dead Souls' is rare gem here! Yes, poem's a reply to Tesla's (alias lano) - so many avators, so many unique qualities - hard to tell the genuine poets/avators 'coz behind all are the thumbs down&up casually slapped on answers disguised as well-intentioned (merry larks). But the atmosphere of malice, like that of the witch, is betrayed by a constant throbbing anxiety as if Satan were wielding sword of Damocles. No knowing 'who is lano & who not'.
All are mirror images to the extent one wonders whether one lano is real or merely a figment of poetry-laden imagination.
I like critics 'coz all apply own unique interpretations. But it helps to have an open mind and not read only what one wants to read. lano must be one pathetic fella from the fictional world of Dostoevsky's "The Double" with whom I have as yet to cross swords.
I see doubles & hope this personage would soon come clean not as aTriton among minnows treating all to Barmicide's feasts!! cherio

Glad to see that a personified puppy is able to write this good! =) Also, i am very much impressed by your critical response on the Mighty lano poem. Well done, buddy! Yes he has lots of account under the same name. That's why when TD blocked him simply to ignore him, he's still able to be answering his questions and irritate everyone. I also agree with you that he is one truly talented poet, unfortunately he is so proud of himself and love to mock us the lesser beings.

I think you might try ... all dangling from satan's sword .Damocles' sword does not apply...these are not rulers.
liberal magnanimous nose thumbing might work better...thumbing is a bit obscure... thumbing what?
witch of endor coupled with blessed be works for me but you need an allusion to the grave there....maybe
the witch of endor tends to the/ waits by the grave, relentless etc. (check out her story here - http://biblelight.net/witch_of_endor.htm)
characteristic should be stricken, it adds nothing and who can judge what eternal delight is since we are all so temporary ... maybe unbounded would work there.
Otherwise, I like the poem very much, I think it is melodic and scans well. Good work! Keep writing, you have a unique talent for phrasing.

You people are all fools if you believe Tesla to be Lano. I have "known" and corresponded with Tesla for about a year now. He is not writing these things to be hateful, but to challenge you.

You know Winston Churchill once said "History will be kind to me for I intent to write it."
Probably not relevant to what your saying, but it went with the title and I think its funny.
