Just a little query about computer support. How has your computer company treated you?

they gave me what i wanted?...but forgot to tell me that it wouldnt work without buying expensive software!...so i cant copy my dvd's and video collection as i intended...ugh!..

I loved my old Compaq computer, was just right for what I was using it for but they really aren't built to take abuse. If you are sort of hard on your computers, you should buy a business laptop from companies like Toshiba, Gateway, or Sony. But the current computer I am on is the absolute best I have had so far, it is a Gateway and I have had no hard ware problems and when calling into their support, they where very helpful and friendly and could even give me the specific replacement part number to order (the screws on the hard drive casing where too tight, so they got stripped when we took them out so we needed a new casing, pretty simple) and it is also silent, this computer makes hardly any noise at all, no annoying loud fans or anything.

Though you didn't ask for it, I would suggest you getting a sturdier computer for your next buy, so that way it will last longer :) (mother board replacements really aren't worth the money because they are almost as expensive as getting a new computer) Also, NEVER... EVER... buy a Dell. Any one that knows about how bad the machines are, the customer service is, and their product assembly will tell you absolute horror stories. :P

My next laptop will be an Alienware though, they are the very topest of the line and will last me many years =D

I have an acer laptop, have been having problems since day one, took it into for repairs because iam still under warranty. and upon them returning it to me it came back doing the same thing as before.my next computer will be a dell or gateway.
