Is the concept of universal health care one step closer to Socialism?
The Universal health care system proposed by Obama and his Party could very well be considered part of a Socialist agenda. It will stifle innovation and decrease the care of those who pay for it. Hard working Americans will have to pay more and get less. All of the people who pay no taxes will pull the system down, and over burden it. How is this a vision of a better America? America cannot even afford Social security, let alone the huge deficit the Government already maintains. How would Obama be able to decrease taxes when he would increase the size of the government by hundreds of thousands of Health care workers?

It IS SOCIALISM!!! and Socialism doesn't WORK!!! I believe equal access to medical care is a right. i.e. Hospitals, doctors, etc. should not discriminate against certain groups so long as they can pay and want to be treated. But, health care is not a fundamental right if u do not have insurance or cannot pay out of pocket. I know this sounds harsh, but, is it fair to health care providers to spend their life savings on college and medical school... sometimes up to 12 years of training... only to be told that the government is going to point a gun at their head and force them to treat anyone and everyone for free?! Or for whatever pittance the government decides to compensate them with.
How would the government pay to provide everyone with healthcare?? -- with a Tax Increase of course. and with the way taxes are... the wealthy would-- in the end-- be paying for the healthcare of middle and low income individuals. Is this fair?? This is basically Robin Hood-- are we constantly going to steal from the rich and give to the poor?? The more we do this, the more we become like the socialist and communist countries. Do we really want to end up like them?? The more the wealth is redistributed... the less incentive the wealthy have to work and provide jobs for everyone else... and the more the economy sinks. Seriously? What incentive would any of you have to work your tail off every day if you knew that the government was just going to take more than half of it and give it to someone who they deem is more deserving of it than you? Redistribution of wealth just brings everyone closer to being the same and that is communism. Quit beating up the wealthy for working hard and focus on yourself. America is the land of equal rights and opportunity (under the government and laws) not equal results. Every American should be responsible for themself and their family-- not everyone elses. check out
Oh, and btw... don't bring up all the religious guilt crap. I do believe that it is a christian's responsibility to take care of the poor and helpless. But that is only a religious view. And since everyone is constantly screaming that we need complete separation of church and state.. let's not bring religious guilt into it. That is an individuals personal decision to charitably donate or to provide for the needy. They can make that decision on their own or through their church. But the government should not force generosity and benevolence. That is a personal choice.

Healthcare insurance is a social endevour, everyone in the group pays while an accuated probability use the funds. The bigger question would be how is the U.S. Gov't bailing out Big Business any different than Fascism?
Mussilini stated, " Fascism should be called corproratism because it is the power of the state joined with the corporate power." Personally this worries me more than the "Socialist" model which is in place for every industrialized nation that enjoys a "Much" higher standard of living than the U.S. (if you are like most Americans you may believe falsely that this is a great country to live in meanwhile every independant international survey puts us at the bottom on every metric used to measure standard of living).
Why do business' forgo the U.S. 1) they have to pay for their employees skyrocketing healthcare, 2) they have to provide retirement programs and pensions,3) Americans are dumb ( this was the reason Toyota opted to open their plant in Canada even though the initial cost were more they cited that American required "speacial" training with comic books because our illiteracy rates are 77th in the world)
The U.S. healthcare model cost more than any country in the world so you and all us other hard working Americans will actually pay 2/3 less than we do now. The difference is that everyone would actually receive care and 2.2 million of us would't go bankrupt each year. What do you think that cost us? By the way if you think it's so great now wait until you have a major medical bill and then let me know what it cost you, even with insurance chances are you will be denied claim or dropped shortly after. Why? Because corporations can do what they want to you, their only obligation is to their shareholders.

we already fund Medicare, and more money is spent on the poor in our health care system than the rich. It's a little dirty secret no one seems to mention. The Liberals are never going to be satisfied until the government takes everything from us. That's their idea of freedom. Liberal? They could care less that the Democrats in NY state are taxing me into the grave and handing 90% of that budget back to the unions. Liberals ignore what is happening. The poor are getting killed in Upstate NY because the Democrats and unions are taking it all. Do some research on how the system works, and then listen to their lies and rhetoric come October.

It is possible that this society is secretly a homeless-without-health insurance death camp. Racketeering involving unemployment statistics not including persons that have given up looking for work, all-new companies every 4 years, and an average employment duration of one year possibly helps this to exist also.

for sure it would. whilst there is an elite classification of politicians ruling, and all human beings else is given equivalent "centers" via the government, this is the initiating of socialism. No Kool-help right here. basically straightforward experience. I artwork annoying for my money, and that i'm no longer drawn to human beings having loose well-being-care at my rate. i'm drawn to human beings working annoying, and making it a concern. i think of that the government can help negotiate costs as we do right here in MA, provide tax cuts to help facilitate having it and subsidize human beings that isn't be able to artwork. yet please, do no longer sit down there staring at your HDTV, and say which you won't be able to arise with the money for well-being-care. and don't provide me the undesirable "line." My individuals did no longer have a television for us until i grew to become into 14. yet we had nutrition, clothing, look after and scientific care. i might finally end up paying two times, as quickly as with taxes, and as quickly as for that which I even have at artwork. the suited docs may be inner maximum, and we've extra suitable waiting lines. inexpensive well-being care, Romney's plan, isn't conventional Healthcare Hillary's plan. Which grew to become into voted down final week in CA using fact they, won't be able to arise with the money for IT. Romney's plan, is rather working. without elevating taxes. Why do no longer you restoration social secure practices so i will retire in 15 years!

You actually think that Americans should die because you don't like the word socialism and put the life of our soldiers in danger to save other countries because you like the word patriotism. I guess anything done by the government is socialism should we rid the government and live in harmony with chaos just to satisfy your knowledge of the word socialism?
IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE GOVERNMENT STAY AWAY FROM RUNNING IT.

Its not a step closer, it is socialism. It is a social welfare program, and that is what socialism is.
