best food at Portillos?

I am in love with the beef & cheddar croissant with sweet peppers. I almost always get that, and 99% of the time I get onion rings too. It's all SO good! If I'm feeling like a salad, the Garbage salad is excellent. I usually could only eat half though. I wish I still lived in the area. Sometimes I think aboout going up for the weekend just to eat there:) Oh, and also once I tried the chocolate cake shake. It was TOOO good, I didn't eat the entire next day.

A great fast food drive-thru place!! They are famous for the Cheddar Beef Croissant sandwich. I love their Tuna Steak Sandwich or the Grilled Chicken. They have tamales that look like typical dog stand tamales, but bigger and tastier, like the cornmeal was boiled in a savory broth. Their chopped chicken salad is a great to-go option. Their polish and dogs are very generous! Lastly, go for the soups, they have up to five different choices a day, my favorite is the Italian Wedding Soup! YUM

their italian beef is awsome. They serve special foods in certain Portillo's. For example the Portillos in Crestwood sells a meatball sandwich to die for. Best mb sandwich I've had, but they don't serve it in the Portillos in Downtown.

I second that Beef n Cheddar Crossaint, I have also had their chicken sandwich, it was pretty good. The Hot Dogs aren't my cup of tea. I'm from the south, like Chili on my dogs.

Honey, I drool thinking about their Italian beef sandwiches with a side of onion rings. It's not going to help your cholesterol, but it's going to make you one happy customer after that meal.
