Is this a stupid reason?

my two best friends since third grade dumped me not too long ago ( were in ninth grade). They said they didn't want to be my friends because i am boring and too focused on school. ( im in all pre ap classes, and they load me with hw so what can i do???) do you think thats a stupid reason to dump your best friend and what should i do?

In my opinion i think it is stupid. If the classes you are in are what you want to do then they should have been more supportive with what you were doing. Being focused on school work is not a bad thing, its actually a very smart thing. It will benefit you so much when you head on to college or university. True friends wouldn't dump you over something so insignificant. You should do what makes you happy. But do remember, enjoy yourself and make time for your self to have some fun as well as your studies.

I do not think it is a good reason to dump your friends. Stay focused on your school work and dont get caught up in any drama. Remember if they are really your friends they will be there in the long run. Make new friends who are intrested in the same things as you.

absolutely. they may think you are always focused on school, but that is because they are not focused on school enough. school is very inportant, and if they don't think so, well then they are wrong. you can get the best jobs from getting good grades in school and being in honors classes. homework is part of the learning, so I suggest you do it.

They probably weren't your true friends. If they were they would understand. Explain that to them, I'm in ap classes and its the same way. Tell them your doing your best and that hurt. It is stupid and maybe you should try talking to your friends in your new classes.

It's good that you're so focused on your education. Seriously don't worry about it. You'll either meet new friends while at school who share your goals, or wait till after you finish school. It's only one small part of your life.

find other friends who are just as focused on school work as you are... you'd be able to relate to them better, and education is VERY important, it will get you far in life.

eh go ahead and do your homework. Do well in your studies and rub it in their faces in the future when you get rich and lost in your own house
