Was JFK trying to warn us about something he had found out?
in a speech to the Press, before the American Newspaper Publishers Association, April 27 1961:
"a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence, on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly-knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. It's preparations are concealed, not published, its mistakes are buried, not headlined, its dissenters are silenced, not praised, no expenditure is questioned, no secret is revealed....I am asking your help in the tremendous task of informing and alerting the American People...."
srdongato2 - listen more carefully. this has NOTHING to do with Russia. he was talking about the same thing Eisenhower was warning about in his speech, also in 1961. i think you should listen to it. this is about the US elite arms-dealers taking control of the entire country & more:
Platobee...- it is NOT too late!!! just look around you! do you like the spew you watch on tv? do you like the spew they encourage you to eat? do you like the spew they want you buy? if not, wake up & see what they're doing.
John - i can't just sit back & not even try to make people understand! there are people out there who are beginning to realise & for the sake of 1 person, i'm prepared to take on 100 closed-minded. not everyone's lost.
you are wrong to encourage other people to give up just because you have. you sound like you know the score, you know what the future is going to be like - hell, i'd rather die than that. we need NUMBERS to fight this, which means telling folk. get yourself some balls man!
Needtoknow - are you calling me a liar? LISTEN TO THE SPEECH IN HIS OWN WORDS.

"thom3222" has it right about the Kennedy-led incursion into Vietnam. In his defense he was concerned about the habit of successful Communist revolutions to then propagate their win into neighboring countries. Even so, when he met with Charles Degaulle as President-elect, he was warned by Degaulle of the dangers of trying to pick up in Vietnam where the French had left off, defeated in the field in 1954.
His death, however, was not for having nobly warned us of anything. His father, Joe Kennedy, had made arrangements with the Chicago Mafia to do what in Chicago they do best: vote early, vote often. The election was going to be tight (and was the closest we've ever had) and the quid pro quo was that, in return for throwing the election to JFK, he in turn would rein in the Justice Department. It was to be business a usual. However, following the election, as Attorney-General his brother Bobby continued to prosecute Big Labor and mob rackets. Feeling betrayed the Mafia, in all probability, arranged JFK's murder. The cover-up by government was not as participants in the plot, but from fear that Castro or the Soviets were behind it. It was felt that, as bad as the killing of the president was, it did not necessitate a probable nuclear war.
One last thing. It never ceases to amaze me that JFK receives credit for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. When it was first proposed much earlier, JFK did little to push it through, not because he was racist in any way but because he was widely disliked in the South for a number of reasons. He simply knew he could not muster the support in Congress to pass such a bill. After his death it was Lyndon Johnson, a Southerner, who cashed in every chit he had to make the bill a reality.

"Is he implying based on that statement that even once the economy improves, some people STILL will not be able to find a job?" I don't know if he's implying that, but it's always been the case that you can't guarantee employment for everyone. At best, you can have 5% unemployment, that 5% comprises people that refuse to work, people that can't find jobs, and people changing jobs (I'm not sure of the breakdown). It's a given that when the economy improves, finding work will be easier. Since you just graduated college, you might be over-qualified for jobs like McDonalds. I've had this problem before, I work as a software engineer, at one point I could walk to work, but I lost that job, I had no car and could not afford one, and I couldn't get simple, easy cashier jobs because they said I was over-qualified. Normally graduating college and waiting w/ no employment history and then finding a job doesn't work, just remember to bring all of this up in a future interview so that they know why their is a gap in your employment history.

He was speaking of Soviet Communism. Contrary to the mythical view of most current Democrats, John Kennedy was not a liberal. He ran and was elected on the idea that the Soviet Union had a superiority in the number of nuclear capable missiles. It was John Kennedy that imposed the trade embargo on Cuba(though Cuba became Communist during the Eisenhower administration). The School of the Americas was founded by John Kennedy and the John Kennedy Special Warfare School is named for him because of his enthusiastic support for unconventional warfare. When Eisenhower left office, there were about 600 US military advisers in Vietnam. By the time Kennedy is assassinated in Nov. 1963 their were 22,000(most of which were Army engineers and Sea Bees building airfields and port facilities for the subsequent buildup which took place under Lyndon Johnson. On the same day as the famous Martin Luther King 'I have a Dream' speech before for the first time receiving Dr. King at the White House, Kennedy approved the overthrow and assassination of Diem in South Vietnam.

No, I don't think he said that, I've never read anything like this and it would have been all over the internet and on blogs if it were true. He was murdered because he was about to get rid of the Federal Reserve Bank. Lincoln was doing the same thing when he created "Green Backs" to replace the Federal Reserve currency when he was killed by Booth. a Masonic member, who got away with the murder.

It came from outer space. Earthlings are interesting but they do not have a clue. Think of Earth as a big zoo and then it all makes sense.
