Is jimmy page or jimi hendrix a better guitarist?
I have NO clue how anyone can compare them, personally I cannot see how people think jimi hendrix is THAT good. Don't get me wrong, hes great but I think jimmy page is much better.

Jimi Hendrix is way more colorful.Don't get me wrong Jimmy Page is one of the greats but he isn't as nearly as creative as Hendrix was.Hendrix' songs could fit into many genres while Page is only rock.
Hendrix made the guitar beautiful.With Page you pretty much always know what you're going to hear,but with Hendrix you never knew what to expect.He was always evolving.Just think of it like this Page found an area of guitar playing and made it his own while Hendrix was universal....
Also,when Jimi Hendrix played he wasn't just 'playing guitar' he was painting.He wasn't JUST a guitar player he was an artist all around.

There both great guitarist in there own right, but I give the nod to Hendrix.

Jimmy page was great but jimmy hendrix was a god without hendrix there would be no wah technique or hammering on and off and overdrive and and lots more effects. he opened the door for many great guitar players like page slash and vai but he is the best.
