I would say that the best method is the regular daily pill form. There are shots, but everyone who takes them that I know gets too many side effects. There are other options now too including pills that you can take less often, but I personally think these are too new, and don't trust them myself. You never know what the health implications can be until it has been a while on the market. Best of luck.

You can try Mirena and the other implanted devices. My lovely insurance wouldn't cover any of those so I went with the Depo shot. It is safe to use while breastfeeding. I also decided against the mini pills since I can't remember to take my vitamins regularly on time. I am on my second injection and it's getting better. The first injection I had spotting for that three months. Since I have had the second injection I have only spotted for about and week and have been good since then. My doctor told me that you could spot or bleed through the first three injections and after that your hormones level out and should not even have monthly period.

I think If you are going to pick a birth control that you may want to look at what fits your lifestyle I mean if you are just looking for something to help keep period under-control I would go for the pill or patch I mean I like both of them but I also used the depo but it just made me gain alot of weight so just think about what is better for you and why you are taking it

I like mine. Natural family planning. I chart my mucus and take my temp every morning and abstain from sex for like 8 days a month when I may be fertile.

I don't really want to deal with condoms or hormones. Of course if STD's are a concern, this obviously doesn't work for you.

Condom + Pills work well (use both at the same time!). IUD (Intra-uterine device) works very well too, but that is more troublesome be cause you need to see a doctor for it and you might be sensitive to the metal.

the pill is 99% effective if taken correctly. even more effective when used with a backup method, like a condom. but, they don't protect against std's.

condoms are risky because they can break, but they preotect from std's.

the iud is pretty good too, but again it doesn't protect from std's.

    i'd say birth control.

The best 100% safest way to keep from getting pregnant is "don't do it" after that use a condom with whatever you choose pill, etc.

i would suggest taking the pill. i would also recommend taking yaz. i was on it and i had to side effects( but that depends on the person). you have shorter periods, there are only 4 "reminder pills". it helps clean up acne, helps with pms. but it all depends on what fits you and how you react to the birth control. i hope this helps

The only 100% guarantee is abstinence. . .cliche I know. I would take the pill and use a condom, better to be safe than sorry.
