sheet music question?
Whenever I download sheet music, whatever song it is, it always seems ok on the bass cleff but the treble cleff usually just has a version of the melody so it doesn't sound the same as the song when you hear it. Why is this and is there anywhere I can get the proper sheet music for songs?

if youre playing electric guitar,
the guitar youre playing is probably differnt from the one
that was used during the writing...
that could be it.
OR
it could NOT be by the original writer or band, but an
interpreter
who wrote as they thought it was, so it may not be right.

It may be because the melody is designed to be sung and not played by an instrument, usually instruments are used to accompany the voice rather than play the melody.

some people write out the tune that the singers sings others right outnthe middle line which is how the song should be.
