Italian translation nut and seed allergy - help needed please.?
Hi, I have a life threatening nut and seed allergy and will be visiting Italy soon. I'd like to try and eat in proper italian restaurants (instead of Pizza hut etc), but am worried they will not understand me and would like to prepare a note to hand to the waiter when I visit restaurants.
I've done a little research on the internet and believe that the phrase "frutta secca a guscio" is the best phrase to use to describe all dried shelled fruits (which includes all nuts), but I can't find anything for seeds (poppy, sesame etc).
Could someone tell me how to write:
"I have a life threatening allergy to all nuts and seeds, Please be certain my food does not contain any of these foods. Thank You."
Thanks for any answers in advance.

Look up a translator or even contact a local college and ask a professor. they even have Italian tutors online that you can contact.
If you get an answer on here, take it to a local italian restraunt and ask someone fluent in Italian if it Translates.
I would also maybe contact your local chapter of the Italian Club.
Here is a link for the one in the Dallas, Texas area to get you started.

I cannot stress enough that you should double if not triple check any answer you recieve on here because Italian is a fluid language and just like spanish there are very different interpertations.
