Looking for a CD/ DVD writer for a Win98 system?

My CD/DVD drive has died. Trying to upgrade to XP. Need one compatible with win98

    Just about any CD/DVD burner will be compatible. Assuming your old drive was the typical type that plugged into the motherboard through an IDE port most current IDE CD/DVD drives would work without issue.

    Keep in mind however that most current software for those types of drives will not work with Win98. You'll be able to use the drive but not the software that came with it.
