Why does Yahoo! Answers deduct 10 points for appealing a question which they deleted>?

And why would a question like this:

"Why are the following topics taboo on yahoo! answers and often deleted or reported and removed?"

which received nearly 50 supportive responses have been deleted by Yahoo!?

i listed(without being specific) race, religion, drugs, alcohol, education, politics, the elections, intelligence and lack of, among other things as topics which are consistently removed because Yahoo! seems to have a problem with good questions. They have taken the ability to learn away from people by banning and removing questions, and have followed the lead of Comcast which was fined heavily for censoring internet information and deciding who gets to see what.

Yeah i remeber this, you posted this yeaterday.I was one who did answer this..

Trolls have a problem accepting other peoples OPINIONS.

They are report happy and do not care who they get suspended.

I think one of them must have been p/off at all the great replies you got.

I did not find your question to be insulting or rude, you were asking a simple question.Yahoo never like the truth and yours was one that definatly told the truth..

Lets hope this one gets just as many replies, and i hope it gets up the trolls noses too...

I can't believe they deleted your question. What is the sense of having an open Forum for people to hash things out and debate questions? I seen your question and it was a legitimate question. They might as well take the whole Y/A off.Do we live in Nazi Germany or America? You did not call anyone names, offend anyone but Yahoo!, And they are the people who started this Y/A.. If Adults can't share each others opinions without stepping on a little toes once in awhile what is the reason for the site? I guess we all have to act like June and Ward Cleaver or the Brady Bunch to get a question answered around here.Shame on them for that. You had Many people agree with you, Is that why is was deleted? Very unfair and it makes you not want to even come here anymore. I guess Yahoo Hit The Cry Baby Button. They didn't want the rest of the members to see how they really do business around here."Shut your mouth,And answer the question" That's what they want. I hope everyone that answered your question last night gets back behind you again. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!

I totally agree you should get 10 points deducted for making a false report rather than appealing.

Mentioning Yahoo Headquarters also seems to be a taboo. Ive asked/answered questions about it and had my Q's & A's removed and an email sent saying they were a violation but not giving a reason why they were a violation.

First of all 10 points is deducted from your score along with 2 points

total 12 points to prevent such a violation doesn't happen again.

So if you lose 10 points at an appeal

is to warn the user their behavior

    will not be tolerated.

and to follow the rules and guidelines.

Because the next time it happens it could be a termination

    or deletion.

Source(s): The first part is on a notice of violation. The next part is http://answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines http://info.yahoo.com/legal/us/yahoo/utos/utos-173...

That means you've filed a false appeal, in which the violation you've incurred was already upheld by Customer Care. That's how you lost 10 points for that-in addition to the 10-point penalty for posting the offending question.

You must never incur another violation of the rules here. Doing so will run you the risk of losing your Answers account by permanent suspension, or even the outright termination of your entire Y! ID without warning (per the Terms of Service).

Please keep in mind there's no censorship here; the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service-the sets of rules governing Y!A-dictates on what we can or can't say here. Now you can either follow the rules or just stop coming to this site. There are rules that we have to follow here, so accept them.

Reminder-please read the rules, whether you like them or not, and make sure you post content within their confines:

Perhaps Yahoo! prefers people not to appeal so perhaps a 10 point deduction is intended to discourage people from appealing and that saves Yahoo! a lot of work.

No real person looks at (and reviews) an alleged violation until the appeal stage.

The system is largely controlled by automated systems that don't seem to know right from wrong.

i've received a few (glad to know I'm not the only one who's gotten these) and was always deducted 10 points.
