Are you in foreclosure now or are you only concerned about the possibility of it?

If it has already gone to foreclosure it may be too late to do anything.

If you are not in foreclosure, but suspect it could happen, consult your attorney. My guess is that he or she will advise you to Quitclaim the property and have your spouse refinance in her name alone removing your risk and protecting your credit.

Sounds like the better choice would be to let the house go to the other to save your credit. A better choice would be to start fresh and new.

Just let it go...it's happening everywhere these days. It will have to be delt with in the divorce anyway. The judge will probably order it to be sold.

Honestly your should talk to your lawyer if you have one. This is important so that you don't make the wrong move!

Asking advice from some one experienced will help you more then yahoo answers.

keep your credit!!!! that the only thing that you will always have control over.

and the house will have to be sold anyhow......you will get our money back some how.

    good luck

If she can afford it, let her keep it ...but it will have to go in her name. That saves you ...
