No, it is not true, that story posted and re-posted at myspace bulletins is like one of those "chain letters" that advocates its own reproduction for no other purposes than fun. If that story is true, it would've surfaced on tv, radios, or newspapers. If it's true, the FBI would've went to the scene of the crime to investigate then later make press announcement/release about it. Mary Winstead story is a fiction.
