3 of us going, does this mean we can't take 2 bags and share our sons clothes between the 2 bags. Isn't clear on website

If your son is under 2 then he has no baggage allowance at all. If he is over 2 then he is entitled to the same baggage allowance as an adult.
You are allowed 10kg as carry-on and 15kg if you pay to check in a bag as well.
You may not exceed these weight limits at any time. So even if your son does not have a bag with him, you can still not be over the 10kg/15kg allowances in either of your bags.

No, you could't pool or share your bags allowance. No airline facilitates this. you could share a suitcase, yet you could't bypass over the shrink for length and weight. in case you're allowed 20kgs consistent with bag consistent with passenger, you could't purchase one great case for 2 of you and positioned 40kgs in it for you the two.

each person is allowed only one baggage not exceeding weight limit so does not matter whose clothes in luggage; plus hand luggage
