How can i get my dog to stop biting his dog bowl?

I have a 9 month lab, and he brings (and chews) his dog bowl. i cant out water ni the bowl anymore coz he just spills it. I'm kinda worried coz i know its important to have proper fluid intake, especially for young dogs.

He already has a metal bowl, but the problem is not really the chewing, but more of the spilling. I bought a heavy pot for his bowl once, but he played with it until it broke. He has chew toys too, but he is more interested with his bowl, i guess coz it smells like food. Cant find any heavy bowl.

Look for a heavy bowl that he can't move so easily. Plenty of chew toys as well, since he's right at that stage.

Is this the bowl in the house or outside? I use a horse feed bucket for my water for my dogs. I also use a 40 gallon water tub like for goats for them to drink out of and get in to cool off. These are outside solutions though. For inside look for a heavy weight bowl, a no tip. Get a knuckle bone for him to chew on, that's a natural cow knee bone and they love it and it last a good while. Feed stores usually carry them or online pet supplies.
