It's Latin, and it seems to be a variant of "Veni Sancte Spiritus", sometimes called the "Golden Sequence," a sequence prescribed for the Roman Catholic Mass of Pentecost.
Veni, Sancte Spiritus, : Come, Holy Ghost
lumen cordium : light of the heart
veni, dator munerum : come, giver of gifts
pater pauperum : father of the poor

For a devout Christian this would be the case because their doctrine professes that without Christ life has no purpose other than sin. So yes this is what she is saying. Whether or not I agree with her statement is another question.
