Can anyone recommend any good I hate you or I've moved on songs?
Can anybody recommend any good songs that have something to do with finally moving on??.Ive just cut my on off boyfriend out off my life after 8 years and want to find some good tunes that I can listen to when I feel down. Obviously not I miss you type songs but more like I hate you, or this is for the best or something.
I keep listening to Ben Harpers "Walk Away" and Duffy's "Stepping Stone" And they're getting stale now.
(Maybe this whole break up thing is getting stale...hehe...just need something to make me feel better when I feel sh*t)
Thanks! :)

Sorry about the relationship problem--music is great medicine.
"Say Hello, Wave Goodbye" by David Gray

"Gotta Get Through This" by Daniel Bedingfield. ...The first minute of this might not be the best example, but then it get faster and better. It made me feel better when I needed the same kinds of songs, even though part of the message is "I still love you". I just ignore that part. : )

"I'm Waking Up to Us" by Belle and Sebastian.

"Goodnight, Goodnight" by Hot Hot Heat. Not my favorite song, but it's very catchy, and a bitter sort of upbeat anger...as weird as that sounds.

"The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World. Not specified to an ending relationship, but more of a general 'I don't need you, I'm just going to do my own thing' message. "Hey, don't write yourself off yet... You're doing better on your own, so don't buy in." This song is so great if you're looking for a more positive place.

"It's My Life" by Bon Jovi. Empowering feel.

"Tubthumping" by Chumbawamba "I get knocked down, but I get up again--you're never gonna keep me down"

"Wasting My Time" by Default. "Months went by with us pretending. When did our light turn from green to red? I took a chance, and left you standing--lost the will to do this once again"

"Another Lonely Day" by Ben Harper. "But I'd rather walk alone, than...chase you around. I would rather fall myself than let you...drag me on down. It wouldn't have worked out, anyway..."

"Quicksand" by Sleeping at Last. A -beautiful- song about the thin line between 'together' and 'not'. It's slower than most of the others I've listed, and more melancholic, but...amazing, nonetheless. "Trust is quicksand, claiming everything I have--all to give me life" "Slow down, you're all words and love is made of yarn...Scissors, a slip of the hand, a slip of the tongue--God knows I meant no harm." "In between every promise and lie, there is a kiss. In between tempers and suitcases, there is a kiss."

I love listening to Pantera. They're an angry band, and when I listen to them, if I'm upset about stuff, I just blast a few songs, and by the time I get to wherever I'm going, if I'm driving, I don't remember what I was upset about. I've used them a few times with exes, lost jobs, mad at my fiancee, and with my parents/family. It's really strange, because I don't normally listen to that stuff, but I always listen to Pantera when I'm upset or down. . .
I'm sure this isn't exactly what you were talking about, but there it is!! Good luck, and keep smiling!!

You're History - Shakespeare's Sister
bits include...
You should see me when you're not around - I'm hero in this town - I'm a close friend of destiny when you're not here to bother me... You made your bed, better lie in it, get back to sleep...
You're history
like a worn out shoe
You're history
you're nothing new
