birth control and acne?

I was lucky, when I was young I taught my mom all the good facts from the pill and she agreed.

Have you ever had an ovarian cyst? Right now mine is painful. It should go away on it's own. Very common monthly in women. There is nothing to prevent it. But Taking the pill is you best defense.It helps with reduction of cysts, and they don't seem as big. I never had a painful one on the pill. I have been off pill for 3 mo. no insurance. This month I am definatly going back on the Pill.

It helps hormon levels, acne, pms cramps, and cysts.

depends on the birth control. I haven't found that my birthcontrol helps acne, but i know people who have gone on it for thier acne and poof.. after 3 months their acne started to disappear. Incase you didn't know, three months is the amount of time it will take for the birth control to really take effect, and you'll be able to decide if you like that kind or not. Plus, you get shorter periods, you know when your getting them, when they leave.. birth control is just great over all haha. But i'd keep using a skin cleanser of some sort/ I use Spectro Jel and Spectro Acne Care deep pore vanishing lotion. Thye work really well for me, and I have skin that tends to break out, dry up and get oily all at the same time . Good luck !

Only certain birth control pill will help. Yazmine has really helped me out but I am an adult. Wether or not you want to admit it knowing that your on the pill does tempt you. It also makes you gain weight. Before birth control I tried different oral antibiotics they worked just as great, as well as a topical cream like differen gel. It helped mine but don't take it just for your skin because it will affect a lot more than that.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

Yasmin is good. Ortho tricyclen is good. As well as the newest pill called Yaz. Almost all BC pills will clear up acne, though. But the aforementioned ones are the best.

It got rid of mine for about a year then it came back, but not as bad as it was before. It takes about 3 months or so to clear your face completely. You will gain 2-3 pounds in water weight, but the pill will also help your cramps and period. I love the pill I'm on.

Well i know it does for me. I didn't start it because of that but i did notice my acne went away, than came back when stopped using it. but everyones body is different.

btw proactive does work but not in the way u want..sure it will get rid of your acne but all it is doing is burning away layers of your skin and you willl pay for it later on in life with bloches and red spots..yes the pill will porbley work 2..
