Best Neighborhoods in Portland, Oregon ?
I'm moving my family out to Portland from Cali and looking for the best neighborhoods and schools. What I have read so far is that the Bethany, Hillsboro, Beaverton, Hawthorne, and Pearl area's are nice. The bad areas (high crime) are Gresham, and Rockwood is this true?
Thanks

The Pearl is expensive and better for young single professionals. Hawthorne is a fun area but it's in the Portland Public School District which is not so good.
If you have kids, the best areas with the best schools are Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Tigard, Tualitin, Sherwood, Wilsonville.

I live in Oregon, and I have to say the best schools are:
Elementary: Hiteon or Scholls Heights.
Middle school: Conestoga or Highland Park.
Highschool: Southridge.
Those are all in Beaverton. But I gotta say so far I like Beaverton the best. :-)
Best neighborhoods are:

Take a look at that or google "Best neighborhoods in Beaverton, Oregon"
Good luck!! May you have many joyful moments in OREGON!

If you have kids, Lake Oswego, West Lin, Forest Hights and Bethany are best. But I like Portland culture better than that of the suburbs.
