Kevin Rudd was born and grew up in Queensland, Australia. Australia is an ally of the USA, and that won't change under Kevin Rudd or any other prime minister.

Australia, and most other countries, get along with China and trade with them, but that has nothing to do with forming any special alliance with them. That will never happen.

Are you on drugs? Australia is a member of the Anzus alliance (Australia, New Zealand, USA). Australia is both a political ally and trading partner of the US. There are benefits to both countries with this alliance. Australia is situated in the Asia-Pacific region and gives millions of dollars in aid as well as military and police support to it's Asian-Pacific neighbours, which includes India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and East Timor. Australia has an enviable trade relationship with China, exporting millions of tons of LNG, iron ore, bauxite, coal and other raw materials annually. I would suggest, that if you view this as a conspiracy that Australia would join any other country in an Axis against it's Anzus treaty partner (the US), then you should seek some kind of therapy.

Australia is an American ally, not a Chinese ally. What brings them close is the English language. What I don't understand is why the Indians are allying with the United States instead of China. If India and China combined their military and economic force, in conjunction with their growth, they would rule the world. But regardless of that, the world may be headed that way.

Not even a remote possibility. While we are at it let's rule out Canada and Mexico joining forces to take the US out as well.

Scary premise, but very possible given Australia's closer geographic position.

U.S. must hope that its culture and ethics will give the U.S. its edge.

    Peace.
