Have you checked your local credit union? Mine has a change counter for it's customers. So, if you are a customer, you can dump your change, it counts if for you and it spits out a receipt. Take the receipt to the teller and get bills.
You can call some up and see if they would be willing to do this for free if you don't belong. I'm sure a sob story about your son wanting to buy something special with his money would work on most tellers.
