St John's Wort is a herbal medicine. It is reported to be used for mild to moderate depression, stress and anxiety. Also used as an anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory (topical) medicine.

It has been used for centuries. It induces one of the enzymes, which metabolizes a lot of drugs in our body and therefore is contraindicated as concommitant use with a lot of drugs.
