it depends on the school, guys at my high school go all out for homecoming and prom. A lot of people get cookies or cakes that ask her and give them to her at a dinner date. Another is a scavenger hunt with clues leading to you. You could do the balloon pop game. Blow up a hundred balloons and put a single word in some that would say _____ will you go to homecoming with me love _______

aww, if you have money by her a pink or yellow rose, take her to a candlelight dinner outside and ask her :) she'll rememeber it for the rest of her life.
