My college is offering me a trip to london for £180. it consists of tickets to an evening performance to "woman in black", pre theatre christmas dinner (its in december), london poetry library, ghost walk, the globe theatre, camden lock market, hotel accommodation, return rail tickets and a 3 day underground travel pass. Is it worth the money? Thanks x

Well it's obvious that you want to go, so I thought I might try to find out the costs for you :)

Woman in black tickets are from £20+. Your school probably might have got them for £16 if they're lucky or maybe £19.

Dinner depends on the restaurant but I tend to find myself spending £30 usually.

It seems the Poetry library is free (don't quote me on that).

The ghost walk seems to be about £7.50

The globe theatre is expensive for food. I've never watched a play there but it's probably expensive as well considering it has Shakespeare all over it.

Camden market is free, getting there is usually by bus which is £2.

Hotel... I can't really comment without knowing the amount of stars but a 3* hotel is about £227

Rail tickets can start from £40 and go up incredibly high depending on where you live.

3 day underground should be about £15

So not including the rail tickets and hotel and the globe you have about £208.50.

Includes rail pass and hotel. The only way that it would not be a good deal is if your hotel is a cot in a large room at a hostel.

Snap this up it is sooo cheap, if you added all these up individually it would cost you approx £400 so you are getting a bargain

well, i don't know where exactly you are coming from but it sounds like a good deal to me. having been to a couple European cities, even for just one day, i know how expensive that can be. but that sounds like a good deal to me!
