Should I ask her out?

Alright, so theres this girl at my school that I actually happen to like. She's quiet, smart, and very passionate all traits that I've yet to find in anyone really. So anyways, I was walking her home from school today and she asked me to go to the football game with her and her friends. I may be mistaken but I would count that as her giving some indication of some interest in me as well.

The only thing preventing me from expressing my feelings for her is we both have problems. Problems that may not present themselves to be hardly anything, but still it's almost enough for me to completly forget about the whole thing, she's been hurt and I've got 6 feet of concrete around anything breakable. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.
