Wisdom teeth removal??

I have to get my wisdom teeth removed on October 10th and the homecoming dance is on the 11th.

Would it be okay if I go?

Have any of you ever been in this situation?

    FYI,

considering this surgery is a big deal can you schedule it for a later date?

If you must go to the dance then I would suggest you try to reschedule your appointment! You will not be able to go if you have your teeth removed the day before. A lot of people only experience minor discomforts with this, but you still need to take every precaution to avoid complications.

I had mine removed in March this year. While the pain wasn't so bad, I was extremely tired from the medication and had minor facial swelling. Be careful not to get dry sockets! I am sure you've already researched it, but from what I hear it's awful.

I wish you the best of luck in whatever your decision may be!

After getting your wisdom tooth pulled, you will have to take complete rest 1-2 days. There can be lot of pain afterwards for few days. Also you will be on soft diet and in my opinion you will not be able to dance on next day. You will have to take lot of precautions to avoid post wisdom tooth infections. For that follow all the instructions of you dentist and for further information on post dental extraction information, you can visit the following link to a very informative website
