Why is it we can nationalize the banking industry, but not the health care industry ?
It's not just freddy and fanny, Aig was just bailed out, there is a list of anticipated bail outs and the emergency meeting today was a discussion of creating a new agency based on the home owners loan corporation which was an agency of Roosevelt’s 'new deal'.
I don’t doubt it was necessary especially in the case of AiG, but to allow healthcare to fester and save the banking industry?

Nationalizing banks will get the government richer and powerful, whereas the health care industry is in shambles, and the government doesn't care about.
Besides, Medicare is profit for the government, and the government spends billions a year on health care, right after national defense. The government should just stay out of the banks and health care, every time they stick their nose into something, they screw it up. They are also eating away our free market system. Good question.

because the if the banking industry fell, it would cause the largest economic depression the world has ever known. the helthcare industry also isnt on the verge of bankrupcy like AIG and etc.
also, the gov. taking over freddie and fannie isnt nationalization, there keeping them from falling

They aren't "nationalizing" the banking industry. The banking industry is vital to our economy. Nationalized health care is not vital to our economy and would hurt the economy.
