Take Favre and give Edwards and Crayton for him?

My Starting QB right now is Carson Palmer, and my was MAtt Ryan, who I dropped and picked up Kerry Collins. I was offered Farve for Bryalen Edwards and Patrick Crayton. I have Marion Barber, Lawrence Maroney, Ronnie Brown and Ahmed Bradshaw as my RB's, and Chris Chambers, Roddy White, Lee Evans as my other WR's, with Gregg Lewis available on waivers. Should I make this deal? please give reasons why, or why not. I am 0-2 by the way.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Update:

We do recieve 1 point per reception, and 1/2 point per completion in my league by the way.

Update 2:

all of those qb's mentioned are gone. Frerotte, Matt Ryan are basically my options.

No way - keep Crayton and Edwards. Just because Edwards has had the dropsies thus far this season doesn't mean he still won't catch fire at some point--he's just too good to not get you at least 7 TDs this year. As for Crayton, he's the #2 WR option in Dallas, and with an offense as high-powered as theirs, he is a must-keep for days when other receivers have a bye, or when you're looking at a very favorable match-up. Favre is still learning the Jets system and working out chemistry issues with his receivers there, and though he'll surely throw you some TDs, he's also going to throw some picks. Also, take a look at his yardage from the first couple of games - hasn't hit the 200 yard mark yet.

Keep your receivers and search the wavier wire for good match-up picks each week (i.e. J.T. O'Sullivan this week) until Palmer works his way out of his slump.

Look, 0-3 is probably not gonna eliminate you from playoff contention. I really think that Palmer is gonna come around and have a decent year. Favre is gonna have a few monster games, but will probably have more like this past weekend. You are too thin at RB to start trading away your good WR's for a marginal QB. You could probably better improve your roster by dealing away some of your mid quality WR's(Crayton Chambers,White) for better RB's. Brown and Bradshaw are probably not gonna get you to the Big Show...Maroney is questionable.

Your QB situation is dire. Anyone on the waiver? Jason Campbell? O'Sullivan? While Favre is solid, Braylon Edwards is a stud. Chambers, White and Lee are all hit or miss WR's and you gotta believe Cleveland will get better.

Although you're 0-2, it's too early to water down your team. Start Collins and hope for magic. Also check out the Free Agents, some great matchups for QB's more people haven't bothered to pick up.

  • heck no......edwards is going to produce and so is crayton.........
