Does your dancing teacher take the lesson by example?
I have just started back after the summer holidays and ALL my pupils are starting new grades after passing their exams in July. I ache all over from demonstrating all the syllabus work. What I want to know is how do your dancing teachers teach you and how does it work out for you?
Apparently some teach by sitting and telling and explaining. I can't see how that works though.
Also I'm in my thirties and it's not just my knees that crack. I could be the full percussion section with my joints.

Yes, my daughter's ballet teachers both teach by example. One is young (not long retired) but the other one is late thirties and she has strapping on one of her legs. The principal of that school has just had both knees replaced!
Have you thought about employing a senior student to help in class and do some of the demonstrations for you? This would be great for her and also give you a bit of a break....might be worth a try.

Yes, mine teaches by example. However, one of my teachers had an awful back. She couldn't demonstrate everything so sometimes you can explain things and see if someone gets it. You can watch people and if you know they know how to do it, you can tell them to show the rest of the class how.
