expiry dates are just an estimate of when it starts to spoil! they usually have the expiry date earlier than it has to be so that you go out and buy some more before you really need to! I've just recently eaten some Canadian Old World Cheddar cheese that had on wrapper best before 1/3/2008
I didn't get sick! It was fine! So what you have is probably ok! Spoiled cheese won't hurt you unless it's severely spoiled.

does it have mold on it? if so , no. Does it smell? if so no. I'd just take the loss and throw it. I once drank milk from a small carton that I thought was fresh, it had curdled and I felt like I was going to die, I believe in my frantic internet serch I even used Y/A answers before I even knew what it was,.

well if it's the pre-packaged kind like kraft, yes because there are lots of preservatives and usually they put the expiration date earlier than it should be just to be safe. If it's the fresh kind from the deli, it might not be, if it smells fine then I say go for it! although I am known to drink expired milk if it doesn't smell bad..
