Isn't it jobs that are at the heart of our economic problems, and not bad home loans?

Not only are we shifting jobs to cheaper labor markets over seas, but we have people filling jobs that are inappropriate to them, teachers that date their minor students, cops that participate in crimes.

It seems to me, we are losing jobs and nobility has died at the hands of practicality, people becoming nurses not to care for people but because there's good money in it, for example.

Jobs are a part of the problem. The main issue is lack of oversight. The Bush Administration has been all about making the rich richer no matter the cost to America as a whole. They lack of enforcement of existing oversight laws may be the single most treasonous act they have committed in office. And that is saying quite a bit.

Most people have a job but can't afford a bad loan. Under Bush and supported by John Mccain they deregulated the financial markets and opened up these crazy loans to the public and were giving loans to people working at McDonald's making minimum wage. That was the real problem. Investors all got in to the market thinking that real estate would never go down because the markets were shaky and then all bailed out once they realized it was a poor investment leaving the home prices high and no one being able to afford them. Once the stupid adjustable rates kicked in after bernake kept raising the interest rates, people ended up with a mortgage they couldn't afford and with Home Taxes going up as well it's very surprising that anyone that has a Job can still afford a home. That's why I'm voting for something new because the current administration and John Mccain have really screwed things up.

the job market has kept the same rating for nearly 2 years. The whole inflated, price gouging big businesses that have screamed for help this week are the main problem.

No, we are experiencing lower non-educated jobs being exported and importing knowledgable intensive jobs! These new jobs require a certain level of knowledge. Get it right.

I hope you are not a nurse!! That would be hypocritical...

The free trade plan was not completely thought out when it took effect.

When we fail to plan, we plan to fail.

American society's been crumbling for quite some time.

It takes awhile for things to decay and it obviously has.

Leave it to culture's values and what we want most.... material goods with the least effort possible.
