These movies came out when I was a teen and I felt that The BC really captured the spirit of being a teenager and the crap we had to go through. 16 Candles was OK but it was only about one person, not an eclectic group of teens stuck with each other all day...intriguing!

I can't pick between the two of those because they're my favorite movies. I loved the Dong in Sixteen Candles, but The Breakfast Club was so great too.

Sixteen Candles--Michael Schoeffling--yum! And we still quote Gedde Watanabe (who deserved a Best Supporting) - "The Donger need food." And think of the early Cusacks--adorable! I think it has a better concept than BC altho it's pretty hard to criticize anything John Hughes does.
