Once Again: How many hundred billion dollar bankruptcies, bailouts, or gov't interventions occured w Clinton? ?
Or any other democratic administration...?
First a little math: 4 trillion national debt under Reagan/Bush, 4 trillion added under W. (last 6 years) 400 billion deficit, plus 100 billion for fannie mae, 85 billion AIG, and now (drum roll...700 billion for rescue of our 'fundamentally strong' financial system...
I just can't recall anything on this level when democrats were in the white house (but then again we never passed tax cuts while paying for two wars)
FDR and Clinton inherited worse economies and turned them around. why can't the grand ol' party of business do that?
THis explains why for 70 years the public trusted democrats more with the economy..
(answer: you don't put the foxes to guard the hen house)
I am having to post this again because apparently republicans don't like to be reminded of this fact and would rather report me for feigning profanity or pg-13 language.
So pretty please, with sugar on top: List any major corporate malfeasance, stock market crash, corporate bail-out bankruptcy or any other dismal economic event remotely on the level of what were are going through this week (or the last 8 years.. that occurred with a democrat as president.
(And a few talking points:
-Depression began under Hoovers watch
-Oil crisis of 70's was not so different in real dollars terms than what we were paying this year
-'Recession' of 2000 was really after Clinton left office.
just a few caveats
Vote Democratic
