Lincecum SHOULD, but I have a feeling Webb WILL.
I think it should be Lincecum. If you want to talk about the bullpen blowing leads/wins, Lincecum is your guy. He is 17-5 now, but the bullpen has blown 6 games that he left with a lead, so he should really be AT LEAST 23-5. He has also had a couple of losses where he gave up 2 or 3 runs. He leads the league in soooo many categories. Blows everyone away in strikeouts. Did lead ERA until tonight, now Santana leads by .02. He's leading in winning percentage, and the Giants have only won 70 games! He has won basically a quarter of the games they have played, and they have won at least 3 games he has started, when he didn't get the decision. Among the league leaders in WHIP, and leads the league in Opponents Batting Average.
To lead the league in that many important categories that the pitcher can actually control, should be enough to give Lincecum the Cy Young.

Tim Lincecum: 17-4, 2.46 ERA, 243 K
Brandon Webb: 21-7, 3.26 ERA, 170 K
Lincecum has clearly been the better pitcher. He would have 2-3 more wins than Webb if he played for the Diamondbacks.
Sadly, the Cy Young usually goes to whoever can win 20 games first and Webb did just that.
Here's to Lincecum winning it!

1.Tim Lincecum cause he is the most dominant pitcher in baseball
2.Lincecum is the best pitcher in baseball. He is on one of the worst teams yet has 15 wins leads the league in strikeouts by getting almost 10 a game. Is tied for the league lead in quality starts and has been solid the whole season. Theres no doubt Brandon Webb is also a front runner but give me one good reason why lincecum doesn't deserve the Cy young
Record 17-4
Leader in K'S
Leader in era
And as a giants fan myself Lincecum should have more wins than webb right now, only if the bullpen wouldnt have blown his starts.

How would he have more wins than Webb if he pitched for the Diamondbacks? The Giants average more runs per game in Lincecums's starts than the D-Backs do in Webb's start. Webb has also been a victim of bad bullpens. Webb has less SO but its expected because he is a SINKERBALL pitcher! he leads the league in groundballs per game. stop comparing just ERA WINS AND STRIKEOUTS BECASE THERE ARE MORE categories than the ones that Lincecum leads. What does him pitching for the Giants mean. Lincecum has 16 more walks than Webb in only 3 extra IP.

Both have struggled lately, I think that's where Sabathia steps into the picture, although he won't win it. I think that Tim Lincecum wins the award, but if the Diamondbacks make the playoffs, don't count Brandon Webb out.

Lincecum won't win and it make me sad. They will give it to web, I'm almost certain. They always gives importance to victories and less to the rest. It's sad, but often true.
I personally think Lincecum is the very best pitcher in the league regarding his motion. I'm an expert in baseball pitching and I can tell you, to the opposite of every other expert (or at least most of them), that he will throw for long and be injury free. He has the perfect swing. ( Warning: his motion fits HIS body and may not fit yours, watch and ask before attempting)
Just to tell you something: He's the only human throwing a 98mph 2 seamer. No one on Earth had ever thrown that, but he never thrown any 4 seamer in a game. This is why his fastball is exceptional. Any way, admire his fluid motion that looks effortless and enjoy his style. We are lucky to witness his games.

Definitely Lincecum. But if not him, it'd be Brandon Webb and his 20 wins. And if not him, I'd easily give it to Ryan Dempster. After Dempster, it'd be Big Z.
