I want to get a job with a record label?

Question

im a junior in high school and i want to work with a record label like warner bros. or something like that where you sign bands and you provide recording and videos and all that stuff. Im planning on going to UCSD and i was curious as to what high school classes i could take and what college courses to take to get where i want to be. Ive been wanting to do this since i was 15 and i really wanna stay on track for it.

Take some business classes to help you out. If you are a musician take some of those as well. Honestly, record labels will use you as an assistant and you will learn the business from the inside. It just sounds good to them when you say you take business classes. In college they make you take lower level classes that has nothing to do with your major. Just put on your resume that your taking classes for business. Pehaps later on you can take some classes for entertainment in the arts department. Your academic advisor will let you know. Also because you're young the people at the label will give you an opportunity to learn. They won't press you about your credentials because they realize your young and trying to get in.

The record labels are downsizing big time as downloading is destroying their business model. LA has tons of experienced ex-record label people who would like to get back into the business. Many of the labels are only a few years from folding. Sorry.

it somewhat is a scoutter and you will't flow to varsity for that. suggestion some thank you to be a valid engineer, get a activity with a label, and artwork your way up. Or initiate your person label. yet it somewhat is somewhat extreme priced.
