Wilson K Factor KSix-One Tour 90 Racquet...?

I am overall an intermediate player who is good in all areas of the court. I'm thinking of getting Federer's racquet of choice, a Wilson K Factor KSix-One Tour 90 Racquet. I was going to string to string with Wilson's Natural Gut 17 and put the tension as 56 or 57 (50-60 is recommended). Do you think this is a smart choice?

K.Six.One.Tour is currently the best racket around right now. But, the racket is strongly recommended for 5.0 players only. It is very consistent and if you can find the sweet spot in that small 90 headsize, you will hit shots with great power and accuracy. The downfall is that the forgiveness when mishitting the sweet spot isn't so great. Even though it recommends 50-60 lbs, Federer and players like myself string it at 48 LBS - 53 LBS so that the racket is more forgiving.

It depends on what kind of racquet you are currently using. The transition to such a heavy racquet, AND small headsize is difficult for most players. I would recommend demoing it before committing to buying it. You may like the Ksix-one 95 more, which is a bit more forgiving. If you are a string breaker, go with the 16 gauge. 17 gauge is nice, but won't last very long.
