COD4 pc ranks problem (lv 1 forever)?

I play cod4 on pc (offline) against bot by pezbots.

No matter how many score I got, the experience bar always empty.

Please help me.

Update:

the problem is my internet connection is very slow. Is there any alternative to improve it without online?

    You have to go online to get the bar up.

    The rank Bar only goes up when you are in an online match. It is based on killes and other challanges such as blowing up cars or killing so many people with head shots. this is also how you get weapons upgrades.
