I'd like to buy something, it's 200 dollars but the store says it is 10 percent off.. Im not good with math. Blah.

The 10% deducts 20 dollars from the $200 so you are left with 180 bucks.

10% off means 10 divided by 100 times $200 equals $20(10/100 X $200 =20).10% off is $200 - $20 =$180.Which means that since the cost of the product is$200 you are given a discount of $20 therefore you have to pay $180.Hope you understand.

200 divided by 100= 2
100%-10%=90
2 multiplied by 90= 180 dollars

It may cost you $180 but in all probability they will say the $200 price includes the 10% reduction.
