Army Airborne Physical?
How long is it good for? I'm in Afghanistan, have a year left, and I was wondering whether they are good for six months or a year. I don't want to waste time getting one now if it won't be any good, but I want to reenlist as soon as possible so I can get a nice fat bonus.

If its just the money you're interested in - forget it! You'd be no more than a liability to men serving alongside U!
Its not a "Bounty" force. It comprises at all ranks, some of the finest men, from all levels of society / education or lack of it - you could ever hope to meet and serve with.
More to the point, men who would stand by U in all adversities - being your friends for life.

I have taken the Airborne and Ranger physical and the only thing that differed form the normal entry physical was that the Doc stamped "Qualified for Airborne Training" or "Qualified for Ranger Training" with a red stamp on the bottom of the physical paperwork.

Don't your reenlistment NCO or schools NCO know? I dont' know, but I'd ask one of them. It seems to me that if you wanted to reenlist for Airborne school, they would make sure they gave you an airborne physical beforehand.

Hi Soldier!
Don't worry about when to take your physical. Basically you have one once a year anyway according to Army regulations.
You have to pass all your PT and weigh ins and stay in great condition. Work out as much as you can when you can.
When you go for Air Borne, you will be given a physical then if you are accepted, mainly for strength and flexibility especially when it comes to your ankles and your tolerance for high speed (your lungs/breathing tolerance).
So stay as physical as you can.
Best of Luck!
