Do you think we'll live to see the day the Philippines will have it's first African-Filipino president?
Just wondering.

I don't think so. We don't have African-Filipino aspirants, not even a City Councilor, a Mayor, a Governor of African-Filipino descent. But even if there was one, I doubt the Filipinos would vote for him. We are more discriminating than that of the Western or European countries.

Why not? Probably not in your. or my lifetime but it could happen.
We Filipinos have a knack of choosing the wrong Presidents, so nothing is impossible....of course I'm not saying that an african-filipino would be a wrong choice. just that everything is possible.

no, one must be a natural-born filipino to be president. even if the fil-afro is natural born, we have maybe less than 1/100 % of people with that kind of ancestry so the probability is astronomical.

properly, they might in the event that they tried. yet attempting isn't possibly a Filipino custom And it truly is a countrywide dependancy - and easily an area of being Filipino. interior the 1970's we had a rice scarcity and the government (inspite of martial regulation) replace into extremely stressful pressed to maintain issues so as whilst they have been given some emergency rice shipments from out of the country.

No you can't be a Filipino unless you look Filipino. If you are born in PI but look white then it doesn't count, just like those "Chinese kids" in school who were born in your home town with parents who were born in PI but were called "Chinese".
